On behalf of our clients, we operate healthcare real estate, with a focus on intramural care, combined with extramural residential care buildings and health centres. By investing in healthcare real estate, Achmea Real Estate contributes to allowing the elderly to live independently at home for longer. In the residential domain, we invest mainly in the middle segment and aim to combat loneliness. We also want tenants to live healthily and independently at home for longer, partly by strengthening the bond between residents and the neighbourhood. In doing so, we work closely with care institutions to meet the future care needs of our tenants. Good care facilities in the neighbourhood are needed for longer independent living at home. That is why Achmea Real Estate invests in health centres and decentralised treatment centres, so that care can be provided close to home.
