Achmea Real Estate's three real estate funds have again achieved the maximum rating of five stars in the leading Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB). This means that they are among the best performing funds in the world in terms of sustainability.
The residential fund ADRF and the healthcare fund ADHCPF again outperformed their peer groups, scoring 91 and 93 points respectively (out of a maximum of 100). The ADRPF retail fund scored 88 points, just 1 point below the average of its peer group. Globally, participating funds in the GRESB achieved an average score of 76 points.
Commenting on the results, the GRESB organisation says that this year's scores are not directly comparable with last year's. This is due to a number of changes in the scoring methodology that affect the scores of participating funds.
“We remain fully committed to the continued sustainability of all our portfolios, regardless of the exact weighting by GRESB”, says Boris van der Gijp, co-chairman of Achmea Real Estate. “This is deeply embedded in our DNA and that of our institutional clients. It is a shared ambition to make an ever greater impact in the area of sustainability.”
